proud of you!

My lil' bro is a registered nurse everyone! Meet Simeon sporting two extra ropes which signify Cum Laude and the Nu Omicron Honor Society. Meet the proud parents, who have at last "put" all their kids through college. Way to go, hun - you made it!
.
And here's mom, guest speaker at the pinning ceremony. Sim got her tricked into speaking in front of the crowd of 800+ guests about her story and days as midwife. She did just great - look at her loving it! Feef, we missed out!!

first commute

Had some celebratory ribs - celebrating my first commute from work by bike. Started out as a bet between colleagues - who could switch to eco faster. For me, it helps I had been annoyed by the awful rush hour traffic, feeling like a rat trapped in a cage.
.
That's what led up to some 20km up and down from the Airport to St Jules - not bad, eh Chris? :) Such a spectacular ride with highlights being a suspension bridge, the cliff view of the river, forests, vast rape seed fields, singing whilst crossing the gridlocked freeways and the many generous Swiss citizens paving the cycle paths through taxes. A 1h30 trip that could surely be shortened without the accidental detours. Hard to find the cyclable roads & paths though the spaghetti freeways. But that was all part of the fun. Don't know if I could get up early enough to do that every day though!

croatia, here we come!

6:35am and there's still a bit to do at home before I go to work. We're hoping to leave before the rush hour tonight. I'll just swing by to pick the cooler and throw my things and then we're off to Croatia. I have tomorrow and Monday off making for a rare long weekend. If we can leave on time, it'll be a pure delight to catch a glimpse of the Mont Blanc & Val d'Aosta during daylight. Happy Easter to all!
