This evening, we are starting a new topic in my homegroup. We are studying the Gospel of John and its relevence in specifically reaching out to people in Geneva. We're looking at the first three chapters tonight and will be trying to understand a very meaty passage in order to contextualize and apply truths to this particular environment. I'm thinking three chapters might be a bit much to crack open and chew on - seriously, have you read it? There's a lot there! I am super excited about this new topic though. We've been reading some excellent books, yet tend to run to such ressources for convenience - sort of like fast food. Some times, it is important to plow through pure and unenhanced text. After all, the Word is alive so it is far from boring. ;)
