Some see me as creative and a little exotic - maybe because I named my car Odette and talked about her virtually every day - dont know. I love Germany and the Germans but don't go for "sauer kraut" - cannot explain why! Come to think of it, I still love my late 1991 Opel Kadett and cannot explain that either.

After 5 days in Korea, it strikes me how vital eating (and drinking) with associates is across cultures. Although tough to keep excessive soju out of the glass without becoming socially out of bounds in a culture of traded drink glasses as well as communal plates among Korean sailors, maybe your clients don't try to get you blitzed like our security partners! Although not a sport for the faint of heart, cocktail dinners definitely let you see another side of folks that can be refreshingly more colorful than when everyone's wearing their "professional" persona in a conference room...even more refreshing when they come to you and you can go home early!
