as always, adventures..

Dear Mr. Blog,
This was my first day back at work. Back from sunny Paris to find still a few patches of snow and ice despite the sun. Last night, Charlette and I made it back from Paris to enjoy the evening in a warm bed without a water bottle but with freshly washed flannel sheets. How nice. I am excited to possibly move into my new appartment, but in the meantime, I have to pretend this flat is my own. Mine until the weekend at least. Back to Paris at the weekend for an operation on Mon.. And then that's it for two weeks: Euphonies is off her feet and needs a membership to the local spa. Yeah right, the local thermal bath in Les Mureaux - là tu peux toujours rêver. Funny that you get used to privileges so fast. I better take advantage of the beauty around here like when I just moved in once I get back. The weekend was as usual: Paris-busy. My wallet was stolen along with cash, cards, driving licence. Just the whole loot. But then again, it could have been worse. I had remembered to take out my CH work permit, my French ID card, my AVS card and most importantly, an important sum, which was in the wallet (remember Benny?) ready to be deposited at the bank. So, on the way to Geneva, there was a short visit to the police station to declare the missing object. All cards have been cancelled and everything. But, hey, worse things happen at sea, right? I think I was even more devastated the day I got my mobile stolen with all the numbers.
So, today was a nice recovery day and I realised how much I will miss not being able to come to work. Got taken out to lunch to celebrate my seniority (funny) and also to let management know what there is left to do before I leave. Really cool. I have been treated so well, which I could never have expected considering the speed of business development. So this is quite a new thing for me. Off to my house group now. La vie est belle - you can tell a workaholic a mile off when you actually regret having to leave for a few days. Tomorrow, meeting with client to potentially place some ads in in-flight magazines. Interesting. Hopefully we can put somethings in Lufthansa - Euphonies never forgets the German link, right?
