interesting interviews
So, why 3 500 kms of driving in a week? Answer: We visited two amazing companies with two extraordinary job offers. One near Frankfurt, one in Geneva. Both have international young and dynamic projects and teams, both are interested in my profile, both have made excellent offers.
Geneva grilled me for no less five hours with short breaks, in which management would simply leave to consult one another and come back with more questions. Frankfurt called me back into their office for a third interview, although I was already in Geneva. The most interesting interview questions have included: "show me how you organize your files on your laptop", "i hear you are a long-term planner, well then, how many kids will you have by the time you are 30?" and "what type of car do you own, i mean, is it an old car, no, rather i mean, is it reliable?" (Thank God I could answer - "Yes, absolutely reliable" - Odette, you have hardly let me down!).
The drive and the wild questions were worth it. The offers are sublimissime as the French would say. Good package, not bad pay, excellent career opportunities, fun teams.
Geneva pros: location flair, possibility to live in France, super responsibility job, great package with benis, a team that wants me.
Frankfurt pros: company name flair, fast career track development, possibility to live in Germany, professional company, lower living costs.
Geneva has put pressure on a decision by Friday. Yet I still await a detailed answer from Frankfurt. Both are looking for me to start soon. So I expect to live in Frankfurt or Geneva within a week at the latest. Please pray with me for wisdom for the right decision for this career move!
